Chifuta encourages citizens to report any suspected immigrants

The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security has reminded members of the public to report any suspected illegal immigrants in their communities to the nearest immigration offices.

Public Relations Officer, Nephas Chifuta says that citizens should help the department of immigration by reporting any suspects to the nearest immigration offices as the office may not be able to know the presence of illegal immigrants.

Mr. Chifuta adds that with the increase in criminal activities in the country, it is important that all foreigners who are in the country have all the necessary documentation especially that some sections of society have been speculating that foreign immigrants might be behind the recent abductions in the country.

He has also warned illegal immigrants who are in the country and are committing crimes that the law will catch up with them.
