The opposition Patriotic Front says it will not be dictated to or hastened by critics to make a decision on whether to suspend or go ahead with its General Conference.
PF Member of the Central Committee in Charge of Information and Publicity, Raphael Nakacinda tells Q-News that the decision to reschedule, suspend or go ahead with the General Conference as scheduled next month will be made and announced by the Preparatory Committee which is currently still undertaking countrywide consultations and mobilizing the required logistics.
Mr. Nakacinda says the party is aware of some rumors flying around that it will not hold the convention.
He has since called for the Preparatory Committee to be given due diligence of giving a proper statement on the way forward after the consultations are concluded and funds mobilized.
