The Zambia Congress Trade Union is demanding that recovered looted funds must be transparently accounted for and utilized to revitalize the economy and help improve the welfare of citizens.
Union president Chishimba Nkole has called on government to ensure that all corrupt persons in and outside government must be dutifully tracked and diligently prosecuted.
Mr. Nkole says the high number of high profile people facing corruption charges is alarming.
He has recommended that there should be more prosecutions and convictions.
Mr. Nkole says corruption should be fought with every drop of the blood because the country cannot develop if corruption is allowed to thrive, nor can workers expect any meaningful wage increases.
He says it is important for all Zambians to see the fight against corruption as a collective battle which must be fought in a transparent and holistic manner.
