Local government and rural development minister Garry Nkombo has continued to come under fire by some sections of society with a Ndola based leaders initiatives network youth foundation logging a formal complaint against the minister, for intoxicating a family of Lusaka’s garden compound with illegal alcohol.
recently Mr. Nkombo apologized to the woman and children who he forced to take the locally brewed illicit alcoholic brew called Kachasu.
But LIN foundation president Ellington Chipoka who has reported the matter to the police has stated that the apology does not take away the danger the family was subjected to after consuming the untested and uncertified brewed local spirit.
Mr. Chipoka adds that Mr. Nkombo had malicious intention to harm the said persons who he says he has been in contact with and are very devastated because of what transpired.
He insists that that the minister acted contrary to section 231 of the penal code chapter 87 of the laws of Zambia and that the Zambia police needs to investigate this matter and allow the law to take its course.
