The Transparency International Zambia TIZ is expectant that President Hakainde Hichilema will address the raging speculation surrounding the Milingo Lungu and DPP issue in his address to the nation through a press conference scheduled for tomorrow.
President Hichilema recently announced in a post on his face book page that he will tomorrow Monday 25th April, 2022, the nation through the press and tackle most of the issues obtaining.
TIZ executive director Maurice Nyambe says in a statement that it is also expectant of the president to speak to the general concern that citizens and other stakeholders have about the efficacy of the strategies his administration is employing in the fight against corruption.
Mr. Nyambe is hopeful that the president will go further to provide a clear roadmap for the development of a comprehensive country strategy to guide his administration’s fight corruption, which currently appears to be haphazard.
He adds that it is also expected for the head of state to address concerns related to the rising cost of living and provide some sort of assurance to citizens about what his administration is doing specifically to arrest the situation.
