Mobile money booths association of Zambia has given the Zambia police and zambia information and communications technology authority (ZICTA) a 48 hours ultimatum to find the abducted 22 years old Pamela Chisumpa .

An organization vice president Arthur Mukeya tells q news that if the police and ZICTA fails to find Pamela within two days, his organization will direct all booth operators across the country to close down the booths to stop offering services to the Zambian people.

Mr. Mukeya notes that they are disappointed with the slow pace at which the police and ZICTA is responding to this matter.

He bemoans that mobile booth operators are currently working in fear.

But Lusaka district commissioner Rosa Zulu says the abduction of Pamela Chisumpa is a delicate matter that should be left to relevant authorities to handle carefully.

Speaking at a media briefing organized by the young women in action, the district commissioner stated that any rushed decision in this matter may put the life of the victim in more danger.

She mentions that government has engaged the Zambia police and ZICTA in an effort to secure the safety of Pamela as her case remains alien to the country.

She has also advised booth operators to stop following customers to their vehicles but serve them right from the booths to avoid re-occurrence of such incidences.

and speaking earlier young women in action executive director harriet Chibuta called on government to consider using inactive security cameras mounted prior to the 2021 general elections for the purpose of providing security to the general public especially the vulnerable young women on the streets and if possible all streets should have at least one active CCTV camera.
