Environmentalists William Harrington has called on government to investigate the circumstances under which Patriotic Front Kabushi Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo came into possession of the wildlife.

On Wednesday the Ant-Corruption Commission revealed that working with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPWL) examined the wild animals at Mr. Lusambo’s premises and found that the animals are unhealthy and need to be relocated to a more suitable environment.

The wild animals include seven impalas, two axis deers, two zebras, two puku and two waterbucks.

But Mr. Harrington says it is important for government to establish whether Mr. Lusambo was unlawful position of wildlife found at his premises and if he had legally applied for a special license and paid statutory fee in respect of the special license for him to keep and possess the wildlife.
