Opposition Golden Party Zambia leader Jackson Silavwe has called on the police command to urgently form a task force of investigators to swiftly crack the organized crime and criminal gangs that have sprung up in compounds across the country which are becoming stronger by the day.
Mr. Silavwe notes that the police command and The New Dawn Administration need to respond with a heavy hand as these gangs are a serious threat to national peace and prosperity and must be cracked heavily before it is too late.
He recalls that a few weeks ago, a Constable, Dalitso Phiri, of Matero Police Station was killed by a criminal gang and James Kakutangwila of Kuku Compound was kidnapped by a gang with the intention of killing him until he was rescued by the police.
