Educationalist, Patrick Samwimbila has called on the government to extend the free education policy to the external general certificate of education (GCE) program.
Mr. Samwimbila says the high cost associated with the GCE program only favors the rich at the expense of the majority of vulnerable citizens.
He says much as the students deserve to pay something owing to the fact that they failed in previous attempt, the program should not be as a punishment for their failure.
Mr. Samwimbila has appealed to new dawn government to consider reducing the fees if it is impossible to make GCE free.
