Lusaka sanitation project reduces non revenue water by 50% 

Lusaka water and Sanitation Company says the Lusaka sanitation project has so far helped reduced non revenue water by 50%. 

Company public relations officer Nshamba Muzungu tells Q-News that much as the utility company is working to reduce on physical leakages leading to non revenue water, nonpayment of water bills equally contributes to non revenue water both at domestic and commercial level.

Mr. Muzungu disclosed that so far the project has been successfully completed in 14 townships and has reduced non revenue water to 50%.

He however says the company is mobilizing resources to ensure the project is expedited in the remaining townships to ensure a 100% completion.

Mr. Muzungu says the project once fully completed will help reduce loss of revenue through non revenue water to up to 80%.
