Yango partners with over 1, 000 vehicles in Zambia- Adebayo

Yango, a new taxi hiring application General Manager for Yango in Africa Adeniyi Adebayo, says the company has partnered with local transport service in the country to offer quality service to customers at an affordable price.

Mr. Adebayo has told QTV news in an interview that so far over 1,000 vehicles have partnered with Yango for its services while eleven companies are connected to the platform.

Mr. Adebayo says the company wants to work with anyone in the country so as to better the transport sector in Zambia.

He has assured customers of safety because the application allows customers to send their route to members of their family and contact emergency services through the app if needed.

Mr. Adebayo says in africa, Zambia therefore becomes the fifth country on the continent to have the Yango service.

He says the success in other countries allows the company to explore new markets and is happy that more and more people have access to the service.

Mr. Adebayo is however confident that the people of Zambia will appreciate the benefits of Yango.

Mr. Adebayo remains optimistic about their future in the Zambian market, saying the new ride-hailing app has come to stay.

Meanwhile Mr. Adebayo says the company is monitoring the movements in the prices of fuel which he said have potential to affect their business.

Yango a part of Yandex, one of the largest European I-T companies, already operates in 19 countries across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa, including Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon and Senegal.
