Immediate past former Minister of Health, Dr Jonas Chanda has challenged the Ministry of Health to publish the list of alleged ghost health workers and facilities.
Dr. Chanda says Health Minister Sylvia Masebo should give details of how much the government has lost as a result, when and how the ghost facilities and workers were discovered.
He says an audit to ascertain these details can be conducted within a week whether indeed these ghost workers exist.
Dr Chanda says the Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Administration and the Public Service Management Division should work together to give a comprehensive report on the matter as it is alarming and of public interest.
He states that more details need to be given on the matter as it is not enough for the minister to merely say they have found ghost workers and facilities without facts being stated clearly.
