Labour Commissioner Givens Muntengwa says Republican President Hakainde Hichilema has made it clear that he wants civil servants to access terminal benefits before leaving employment.
Mr. Muntengwa tells Qtv News that what this means that going forward, the NAPSA Act will need to be amended to streamline it with the vision of the New Dawn government to ensure people have access to their benefits before they retire.
He adds that this is one of the things that will be considered in order to come up with a resolution in view of the political will by the government.
Mr Mutengwa says government has heard the calls by stakeholders for reforms to the NAPSA Act and is looking into the matter.
