Police concerned non compliance to directive by minister in charge

Inspector-general of police, Lemmy Kajoba has noted with concern the slowly emerging non-compliance of traffic officers to the earlier directive by the government and the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security, Jack Mwiimbu on the suspension of snap road traffic checkpoints across the country.

And Mr. Kajoba has directed that all traffic officers across the country are reminded to fully comply with the directive earlier issued. 

The inspector general of police has however guided that speed trap enforcement will continue to be mounted by traffic officers to control speeding motorists.

The inspector general of police has also noted with concern the abuse of the blue flash light which is a preserve of the law enforcement agency motor vehicles by members of the public who are not authorized to use the blue flash light. 

He says those that are in the habit of abusing the blue flash light are being warned to stop this tendency hence with.

Police spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga has confirmed this today.
