The World Health Organization (WHO) has voiced out over the continued shortage of drugs in public health facilities in the country.

WHO Country Director, Nathan Bakyaita says Zambia will have challenges in achieving Universal Health Coverage as well as meeting the Sustainable Development Goals which aim to create a world by 2030 where everyone has access to affordable essential Medicines.

Dr. Bakyaita has told QTV news in an interview that Universal Health Coverage is having access to medicine when one needs it.

He says if the country is not providing the kind of medicine the people need at an affordable price, it limits achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals.
