Kakubo hails AfDB investment in Zambia

Foreign Affairs Minister Stanley Kakubo has commended the African Development Bank (AfDB) for investing over one billion dollars in various sectors of the Zambians economy since 1971 to date.

Speaking when he received credentials from African Development Bank Country Director Raubil Olaniyi Durowoju, Mr. Kakubo also highlighted other areas of assistance offered by AfDB which include, infrastructure energy, water and sanitation, agriculture among others.

Foreign Affairs Minister Stanley Kakubo has commended the African Development Bank (AfDB) for investing over one billion dollars in various sectors of the Zambians economy since 1971 to date.

Mr. Kakubo says government appreciates the support the Bank has rendered to the country in terms of infrastructure development, citing the Kazungula Bridge which he says fits into the new government’s position to ensure Trade is enhanced within the region.

And Mr. Kakubo has noted with concern that there is a huge deficit in the water reticulation in the country.
