HH calls on the church to partner with govt in fostering unity

President Hakainde Hichilema has called on the church to partner with government in fostering unity in the country.

President Hichilema says his government is already promoting unity in Zambia by working towards bringing the citizens together.

Speaking when he attended mass at good shepherd catholic parish in Kabwata constituency the head of state says the new dawn government recognizes that achieving a united Zambia will be made easier by contributions from the church.

President Hichilema has also commended the church for the role it has played in leading and holding the country together both in good and bad times in the past.

And president Hichilema says the church regardless of religious denomination should act as one because they all belong to the body of Christ.
