Zamtel says it will continue expanding its network by adding capacity and building new sites to support the expected jump in mobile traffic volumes this year.
company corporate communications manager Changwe Kabwe says the company hopes to complete the rolling of new communication towers in 2022.
Mr Kabwe says by the end of 2022, Zamtel would have modernized its mobile network with the full installation of a new online charging system which will provide more capacity for growth.
he adds that Zamtel intends to ramp up investments in new infrastructure to keep the customers connected especially in the rural areas and other highly underserved regions.
Mr Kabwe further states that Zamtel will be growing its 4g footprint in 2022 and continue to pursue a value-driven strategy for all Zambians.
