The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) has challenged opposition political parties in the country to become more organized and relevant in the New Year.
FODEP Executive Director George Chimembe tells Q-news that the opposition was ineffective and disorganized following ascendancy to power of UPND alliance.
Mr. Chimembe notes that the squabbles and factions in some opposition political parties if not addressed, will weaken them and affect their provision of effective checks and balances to the government and the ruling party.
He says the opposition should put their houses in order and come to terms with reality and begin to play the effective role of offering proper checks and balances to the ruling UPND alliance.
