Government has learnt with deep sorrow the death of four people in Choma’s Mbabala area of Southern Province, following flash floods and six others who died in a head-on collision involving two motor vehicles on the great east road in Chongwe district.
In a statement obtained by Q-News, Iinister of Information and Media and Chief Government Spokesperson Chushi Kasanda has described the accidents as painful and tearful at a time when families and the nation at large are coming together to celebrate Christmas.
Ms Kasanda says government conveys deep-felt condolences to the bereaved families and wishes them god’s strength and comfort as they mourn their beloved ones.
The minister says as the country retreats for Christmas and New Year festivities, government urges motorists to observe traffic rules in order to avoid accidents.
