National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) Executive Director Aaron Chansa says the Free Education Policy pronounced by the New Dawn Administration is more likely to affect the delivery of quality education if government does not immediately back this pronouncement with construction of more classroom spaces.

Mr. Chansa says the Free Education Policy will attract more children who dropped out of school due to the challenge of school fees returning to school, thereby resulting in overcrowded classrooms, posing a threat on quality education.

He says in as much as government intends to recruit thirty thousand teachers in 2022, there is need to construct more schools in order to absorb the huge number of pupils expected to return to school.

Mr. Chansa says having more teachers in schools at on the backdrop of less classroom space will not archive the intended goal of improving the quality of education.
