Opposition Patriotic Front (PF) aspiring candidate for the Kabwata parliamentary by-election Gabriel Kibombwe has described the party’s adoption process as the most credible compared to the previous three which he has participated in.

Mr Kibongwe says all the four candidates who applied to contest the Kabwata seat on the PF ticket were shown the list of people who had applied for adoption to promote transparency.

He has told Q-news that for the first time a meeting was held with the candidates to agree on the roadmap on how the interviews will be conducted in a bid to select the best candidate.

Mr Kibombwe adds in the name of transparency, aspiring candidates were interviewed by the party’s district committee where they were given the liberty to identify any aspiring candidate who did not deserve to apply for adoption.

And Mr Kibombwe says he’s the right man for Kabwata constituency and is hopeful that the former ruling party will consider his application for adoption.

The Kabwata by-election which is slated for 20th January, 2022, was necessitated following the death of UPND member of parliament Levy Mkandawire in an accident.
