Economic and Equity Party president Chilufya Tayali has charged that some senior UPND alliance members do not deserve the appointments given to them by president Hakainde Hichilema because they lack the experience in the civil service.
Mr Tayali has told QTV news that he is not against party cadres and supporters being taken care of, but that he disapproves of them being given positions of director or controlling officer when they have no capabilities to head government departments.
Mr. Tayali has emphasized that President Hichilema can come up with empowerment initiatives to empower the cadres instead of absorbing into the civil service and giving them big positions when they lack the necessary experience.
He has also stated that it is not fair for some party cadres who fought for the party to be left out on empowerment programs when some senior alliance members are enjoying.
