The Network for Young People Against Violence has called on political parties to desist from electoral corruption during the adoption process for the Kabwata parliamentary by-election slated for 20th January,2022.

Organization Executive Director Moses Kalonde has encouraged political parties to ensure transparency in adoption process in order to come with the best candidates for the vacant seat.

Mr Kalonde adds that there should be zero tolerance to political violence.

He adds that the Police have no excuse whatsoever not to deal with all perpetrators of political violence regardless of which political party they are coming from.

Mr Kalonde says Zambia has been known to be a peaceful nation and that this should continue even as the Kabwata parliamentary by-election is fast approaching.
