Former Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has called upon the state police command in Chirundu District to immediately bring to book all those individuals stealing cattle in the district.
Former Siavonga District Commissioner who is also a victim explains that the practice is becoming rampant as the animals are being stolen and slaughtered in the bush at night.
Mr. Kanyama further says that there is need to also arrest meat traders and taxi drivers involved in transporting the animals.
He has since appealed to the police to intensify day and night patrols as the practice of stealing cattle in the district has become a normal practice for the criminals.
