Tourism minister Rodney Sikumba has challenged Multichoice Zambia to seize the opportunity to film all sites and scenes in the tourism sector for content development and tourism promotion.

speaking during a courtesy call by the Multichoice Zambia management team this morning, Mr Sikumba says the ministry is ready to engage operators and partners in the various sites to create a ‘safe landing’ environment to facilitate the filming processes.

He says Zambia wants to promote ‘positive discrimination’ by encouraging locals to get in the parks to produce tourism films and highlight the sector’s potential.

Mr Sikumba appreciated the Multichoice talent factory that has blossomed young talent and created opportunities for many youths in the country that have been looking for employment and empowerment opportunities in life

And Multichoice Zambia managing director Leah Kooma says the company appreciates the challenges that tourism business entities have undergone in the face of the covid-19 pandemic and has since given them a 90 percent discount as COVID relief on their payments for DSTV.

Ms Kooma says this discount has been running for the last two years and that in September, the company launched the DSTV business revamp packages which offered a variety of packages where business holders are able to choose from, giving them a wide variety of entertainment, information and news.
