Government says it has put in place a conducive policy framework to enable all players to play their role in fighting the challenge of climate change.
Ministry of Green Economy and Environment Collins Nzovu this is out of the recognition that Government alone will not be able to effectively address the challenge.
Engineer Nzovu was speaking when he officiated at the unveiling breakfast meeting of the Alliance for Voices for Climate Action Civil Society Organization Partners by the Wild-wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and HIVOS.
He says efforts like this by WWF and its partners are highly valued by Government as they go a long way in ensuring that objectives in addressing challenges of climate change are achieved.
He says Government is already putting in place a long term adaptation plan, which will ensure the safeguarding of livelihoods and ecosystems for the foreseeable future.
And WWF Country Director Nachilala Nkombo says to bring climate change under control, there is need for a whole society approach hence the unveiling of the partners.
