ZACCI urges vaccination of workers in private sector

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) has appealed to the private sector in country to ensure its workforce is vaccinated.

ZACCI President Chabuka Kawesha is concerned over the current low rate of vaccination in the country with the looming fourth wave and a new Covid-19 variant.

Mr. Kawesha says there is need for concerted efforts to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in view of the anticipated fourth wave and the new variant that has been reported in some parts of the Southern African region.

He has since stressed the need for players in the private sector to get all their workers vaccinated.

Government has restricted access to government premises and events to those who are fully vaccinated.
