Youths advised never to underestimate the power they carry

Minister of tourism Rodney Sikumba has called on the youths never to underestimate the power that they has as individuals and better still collectively.

Speaking at the young men’s mentorship day organized by the my Zambia my responsibility at harvest university in Lusaka today, Mr Sikumba advised the young men to be the change that that they want as it will not come as a result of somebody else’s sweat, blood and tears.

Mr Sikumba tells the young men not to stop believing in themselves and never to think they are too young to achieve their dreams.

He mentions that the outcome of the august 12^th elections that brought the UPND and president Hichilema to power tells something about the power of young people which is real and alive today.

He charges that this power can be channelled to so many other social challenges that face the young people in this country today and the world over like unemployment, lack of skills, and lack of opportunities lack of access to formal education among others.

He says to overcome these challenges here is need for a serious mindset change and the young men mentorship platform has been established to provide a safe space for young men to engage in diverse conversations, to network and impart skills in each other in order to succeed in this day and age.
