Ms Tambatamba emphasized the need for unions to speak in unity even as they advocate for employees in order to make informed decisions that benefit all, adding that unions should deal with the growing number of unions.

She has  since urged unions to invest in educating their members to enable them have the capacity to articulate issues affecting them and raise awareness on labour regulations as it will help restore peace and harmony in the labour market.

Ms Tambatamba further states that the Ministry’s budgetary allocation has been centered on recruiting labour inspectors and conducting inspections in all parts of the country.

And CSAWUZ President, Davy Chiyobe has pledged to work with the Ministry of labour to ensure that social reforms take shape to enable people live a decent life after retirement.

He further expressed the need for the Ministry to increase its man power across the country for officers to be on ground to look at the issues that workers are going through.
