HH to attend business expo in DR Congo

President Hakainde Hichilema has left for the Democratic Republic of Congo on a trade and investment mission.

Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Stanley Kakubo says the President will hold a meeting with his Congolese counterpart Felix Tshisekedi on strategizing trade and investment.

Mr Kakubo has told Journalists prior to the President’s departure at ZAF Tactical Air Mobility Base in Lusaka that the President’s trip is aimed at facilitating trade through the export of sulphuric acid, components for electric vehicles, among other materials.

He says the DRC’s growing population, presents trade opportunity to Zambia, which will eventually improve the economy.

Mr Kakubo adds that President Hichilema will also attend a business expo tomorrow, Wednesday before returning home.
