Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) General Secretary Adrian Kashala says the association will continue giving athletes from all the provinces of Zambia a chance to participate in the game of football.

Speaking when he officiated at the launch of the FIFA Young Talents training for young referees in Lusaka today, Kashala says FAZ has partnered with the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Ministry of Education to train young talent.

He says the program speaks to the future of the game as the crop of trainees under the program is evidence of the long term focus the Association has for the Zambian game.

Kashala says the FAZ Ten Years Strategic Development Plan covers this training as the Association envisions being a leader in the sector of refereeing.

He advised the trainees who have been drawn from all parts of the country to avoid putting the name of the game in disrepute by remaining neutral when officiating.

Kashala has further encouraged them to emulate FIFA referees Janny Sikazwe, Diana Chikotesha and Gladys Lengwe who have officiated at the highest level of football.
