ZESCO utility company public relations officer Hazel Zulu has confirmed that the utility company has disconnected northmead Market in Lusaka for nonpayment of ZESCO bills of over k50,000.
Speaking in a walk in interview with Q News, Mrs. Zulu says there is need for the customers to be compliant by paying their bill in time to ensure that they have a consistent supply electricity to all parts of the country.
She says it is difficult for ZESCO to supply electricity to its customers if they don’t pay their bills in time.
Mrs. Zulu says ZESCO is doing its best to supply electricity to its customers provided they pay their bills in time.
She further says the utility company has an open door policy hence calling upon the aggrieved customers to seek audience with the utility company on how they intended to resolve their issues.
