United Party for National Development (UPND), Nangoma Member of Parliament, Collins Nzovu has advised members of the ruling party not to discriminate against those who hold opposing views.
Mr Nzovu has told Q-News that this is the time when the people must unite to foster development and unity which has eluded Zambia for a long time.
He says a lot of people from UPND have questioned him as to why he was associating with some people who are perceived to be holding divergent views from those of the ruling party.
Mr Nzovu, who is also Green Economy and Housing Minister says development and unity must go hand in hand; hence there is no harm in consulting and living together in harmony despite holding divergent views.
