Vice President WK Mutale Nalumango has cautioned Chief Executive Officers of parastals and senior government officials appointed during the PF regime against acting as saboteurs.
Mrs Nalumango says while they remain in those offices, they should do their work properly.
She has acknowledged the concerns of the people of Zambia with regards the slow pace of the new dawn administration in getting rid of PF aligned Chief Executive Officers of parastals and other senior officials in government.
Responding to a question by Zambezi East Member of Parliament Brian Kambita during the vice president’s question time who wanted to find out why PF cadres are not being removed from senior positions in parastals and government offices, Mrs Nalumango says the new dawn government wants to do everything according to the legal provisions of the country.
She says the new dawn government does not want to remove people anyhow, but is looking at what they are doing, their contracts, and the capacity to adapt.
Mrs Nalumango states that the government will not simply wake up and ask everyone to go, saying this, the new dawn administration will not do.
And the Vice President says people should not use tribe to hide their wrongdoings.
Responding to a question by Mitete Member of Parliament Misheck Mutelo who wanted to find out what advice the vice president would give to Zambians with regards tribalism in view of the tribal remarks being uttered in the nation, Mrs Nalumango says Zambians are very much awake and will not stand with anyone for doing the wrong thing not even their tribe’s mate.
