Grade 11 pupil to deliver a statement

A grade 11 pupil of Chainda combined school boys Peter Banda has been invited to deliver a statement during the 3rd African union girls summit on ending child marriage which will be held in the republic of Niger from 16th to 18 November 2021. 

Zambia national men’s network for gender and development national coordinator Nelson Banda says the high level panel discussion will explore issues on respecting human rights and strengthening accountability to help in the elimination of harmful practices particularly child marriage.

mr zulu says this is the second time this year that the Chainda combined school boys network has been invited by the African union to speak at the girls summit on ending child marriage.

he says the theme of the 3rd African girls summit which has is expected to be opened by Niger’s president Mohamed Bazoum is “culture, human rights and accountability; accelerating end to harmful practices”.
