SACCORD outlines expectations of 2022 national budget

The Southern African Centre For The Constructive Resolution Of Disputes (SACCORD) Expects That The 2022 National Budget Will Be Conflict Sensitive, Centered Around Uplifting The Livelihoods Of All The Local People Where Empowerment Is Concerned And Thereby Address Structural Violence.

Mr. Cheembe Expects That The Budget Will Free Up A Lot Of Resources In The Economy So That People Have Access To Finances Which Is Critical In Maintaining A Healthy Economy And Communities. He Adds That It Is The Expectation Of SACCORD To See A Budget That Will Promote Peaceful Political Debate And Active Citizenship In The Promotion Of Accountable And Good Governance.

Mr. Cheembe States That He Expects The Budget To Address The Aspects Of Decentralization And Service Delivery, Conflict And The Public Order Act, Security And Human Rights, Stability And Constitutionalism, Agriculture And Food Security, Micro Economy And Well-Being And Peace And Security.
