Social scientist Innocent Kolala has stressed the need for Cabinet Ministers who have dissolved boards under their ministries to quickly appoint new boards.
Mr. Kolala tells Q-news the long absence of a board in an institution might lead management doing things without direction as it becomes difficult to implement certain policies and programs without the board.
He notes with concern that in the past, some institutions have had their boards dissolved and it took over 6 months and in some cases even a year without a new board being appointed.
Mr Kolala states that the UPND government does not have much time between now and 2026 and needs to ensure institutions boards are in place to help them kick-start implementation of projects.
