Vice President Mutale Nalumango says the new dawn government is still committed to the provision of free education.

Answering questions from Members of Parliament during the vice president’s question time today, Mrs Nalumango says the provision of free education will start with the vulnerable before being progressively extended to others.

She says the new dawn government wants to prioritize the vulnerable children first.

Mrs Nalumango says the new dawn government believes no child should stop school because they cannot afford to pay school fees.

The Vice President adds that even with a constrained budget for 2021, the government has increased the number of beneficiaries for the students’ loans.

And Mrs Nalumango says President Hakainde Hichilema is taking his time in making appointment to ensure that the right people are appointed.

She has appealed to people to exercise patience and allow the right people to be appointed to offices.

Meanwhile the Vice President says those appointed politically will be disappointed politically at the right time.

She has since advised such appointees against destroying evidence.
