Patriots for Economic Progress (PEP) president Sean Tembo has charged that the decision by the new dawn government to settle for an International Monetary Fund (IMF) program was arrived at without conducting due diligence.

Mr. Tembo has told journalists in Lusaka that President Hakainde Hichilema personally made the decision to go the IMF route even before Cabinet was appointed.

He says a decision of such magnitude needed wide stakeholders’ consultation from professional bodies.
