CSO-SUN calls for increased allocation to nutrition

The Civil Society Scaling up Nutrition (CSO-SUN) Alliance Zambia has urged the new dawn government to ensure increased budgetary allocation to the nutrition sector in the 2022 national budget.

CSO-SUN country Coordinator Mathews Mhuru is confident that increasing the budgetary allocation to the Nutrition sector will ensure the fight against malnutrition in the country is sustained.

Mr Mhuru has since stressed the need for the new dawn UPND Administration to learn from the suspended funding by the UK in 2019 and start mobilizing resources local for programmes such as nutrition and social cash transfer.
