Elephant runs away with cabbages after killing man in Livingstone

An elephant has killed an unidentified man in Livingstone getting away with a bag of cabbages he was carrying.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says Police received a report of elephant attack suspected to have occurred in the early hours of today, 30^th September,2019 at an unknown time.

Mrs Katongo says the incident happened between a place known as dry Manzi and Mukuni turnoff.

She says the body of the deceased was discovered by members of the public with several injuries and protruding intestines.

Mrs Katongo says the body has since been deposited in Batoka hospital mortuary.
