PF is sacrificing Zambians for its failures- Musumali

The Socialist Party has accused the PF government of scarifying the lives of the people by painting a picture to the outside world that there is no hunger in Zambia.

General Secretary Cosmas Musumali says it is a lie and an insult for anyone to claim that there is currently no starvation in the Country.

Dr. Musumali states that the PF government is actually failing the people of Zambia by refusing to declare the hunger situation a national disaster.

In an interview with Q-News Dr. Musumali, has disclosed that he is one of the people that has been receiving phone calls nearly every day from relatives about how they are starving.

Dr. Musumali, who is also an economist,  has cited Lukulu, Itezhi Tezhi, Maamba, Kalomo and Shang’ombo as some of the areas where people can speak for themselves about their starvation.

He says the hunger situation is therefore an issue that should not be ignored when Zambia is now being allegedly reported to be the fourth hungriest in the World.

The Socialist Party General Secretary states that he personally finds it annoying the more he looks at the excuses and solutions being provided to the current hunger situation in the Country.

He adds that his party is equally concerned that politicians are taking the people for granted by assuming that Zambia is a peaceful Country.
