Mines Minister Richard Musukwa has revealed that government through the Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines – Investment Holdings (ZCCM-IH) will create a platform where exploitation of gold will be undertaking.
Mr. Musukwa has told QTV news in an interview that ZCCM-IH is going to procure processing equipment that are going to be put in strategic areas where all the resources for gold are going to be processed.
He says the idea is to ensure that the local communities benefit from the mineral resources.
And Mr. Musukwa has reaffirmed government’s commitment to ensure that jobs are created in the mining sector.
