Intentions to increase electricity tariffs by 75 percent is irresponsible- Katuka

The opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) has described as irresponsible intentions by government to increase electricity tariffs by 75 percent.

UPND General Secretary Steven Katuka says it is disheartening to note that the ruling Patriotic Front is ready to sacrifice the 17 million Zambians by subjecting them to high electricity tariffs. 

Mr. Katuka says increasing electricity tariffs will be punishing citizens who are already hurting.

He says Zambians are hurting as a result of hunger.
