Zambia needs Climate Change action plan, emphasizes UN

The United Nations has emphasized the need for Zambia to implement an action plan to address climate change.

Reacting to President Edgar Lungu’s address to parliament during the opening of the 4th session of the 12th National Assembly, UN Resident Coordinator Coumba Mar Gadio says this will help enhance crop production and ensure the country is food secure. 

Ms. Gadio says it important that the impact of climate change is analyzed critically in order to respond appropriately.

Meanwhile the Czech Ambassador to Zambia Radek Rubes says his country is keen to help the Zambia government address various challenges affecting the agriculture sector.
