State House takes interest in CK’s drug trafficking allegations

State House says allegations of drug trafficking made by National Democratic Congress (NDC) President Chishimba Kambwili will be investigated.

In a brief statement obtained by Q-News, Special assistant to the president for press and public relations Isaac Chipampe says State House takes very seriously any allegation related to drug trafficking.

Mr Chipampe says Zambian law enforcement agencies will, therefore take appropriate steps to investigate the allegations in connection with drug trafficking, in coordination with all appropriate authorities.

During a media briefing yesterday, National Democratic Congress (NDC) president Chishimba Kambwili challenged President Edgar Lungu to explain his dealings with businessman Valden Findlay.

Mr Kambwili said this is in particular that Mr Findlay is allegedly involved in drug dealings and that there are now allegations that he is using the Presidential jet to courier drugs.
