Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Vincent Mwale has disclosed that the Housing Policy has now been revised.
Mr. Mwale states that his Ministry is also in the process of reviewing and revising the National Housing Authority Act.
Speaking when he officiated at the 4th Zamreal Investment Forum in Lusaka, Mr. Mwale says government wants to make the Act more responsive to the needs and demands for decent and affordable housing.
He states that to this effect, government intends to give the housing sector the same attention being given to the road sector.
Mr Mwale says government has realized that of the money borrowed for infrastructure development, very little has gone to the housing sector compared to road construction.
