PF to hold 7 day demonstrations against Kambwili’s insults

Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila says the ruling party will hold a seven day demonstration against defunct National Democratic Congress president Chishimba Kambwili for his alleged insults on President Edgar Lungu.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka, Mr Mwila says the party will stand strong and defend the name of the Republican and PF President.

He says the party will thereafter take a petition to Mr Kambwili, adding that the party has since applied for a Police permit.

Mr Mwila has however, stated that all the actions the part will take in this regard will be within the law.

Meanwhile South African based businessman and PF member Bizwell Mutale has donated 4,000 by 25kg bags of mealie meal to the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit to be distributed to families that have been affected by the hunger situation.

Mr Mutale says individuals and entities should come on board to arrest the hunger situation before demanding for the situation to be declared a national disaster.

And receiving the donation, Minister in the Office of the Vice President Olipa Phiri has commended Mr Mutale for his efforts further calling other citizens and public and private entities to emulate the gesture by Mr Mutale in ensuring there is food security in the country and in the affected areas.
