Quickly act on directive, Msoni calls on Katambo

Agriculture Minister Michael Katambo has been called upon to quickly act on the directive by acting President Inonge Wina to intervene in the rising cost of mealie-meal in the country which is becoming unaffordable to most ordinary Zambians.

All People’s Congress president Nason Msoni says the rising cost of mealie meal prices demands for answers from government and particularly from Mr. Katambo for insisting on the lifting 0the ban on the export of maize.

Mr. Msoni says individuals in government who have been in the forefront advocating for the lifting of the maize export ban should take full responsibility.

He states that the high cost of mealie meal has forced many Zambian families to go without food.
